WHY DO WE GIVE?
Here at The Love Church we believe that the decision to give is not primarily financial in nature. It's rooted in the nature of God and
our relationship with Him.
John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world that He gave …" This declaration isn't simply an evangelical promotional slogan or an effective witnessing tool. It reveals the heart of God and serves as a clear example of the meaning of Christian life. If there's one thing the New Testament teaches us, it's that God is love, and that those of us who claim to believe in Him should love one another as He has loved us (1 John 4:8, 11). The entire message of John 3:16 can be summed up into two words...LOVE, and GIVE.

WHY GIVE TO THE CHURCH?
GIVING SHOWS THAT GOD IS LORD OF YOUR LIFE
Above all God wants us to give because we recognize that he is Lord of our lives. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the heavenly Father of light, who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17 NIV. Everything we own and have comes from the lord, so when we give we are only giving back a small portion of what God has blessed us with.
Giving is an expression of thankfulness and praise. It comes from a heart of worship that recognizes everything we have comes from God. God instructed Old Testament believers to give a tithe, or a tenth because this ten percent represented the first, most important portion of all they had. The New Testament does not suggest a certain percentage for giving, but simply says for each to give "in keeping with his income."

WE ARE BLESSED WHEN WE GIVE
God wants us to give because he knows we will be blessed when we give generously to him and to others. Giving is a paradoxical kingdom principle — it brings more blessing to the giver than to the recipient.
"Remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35, NIV

Since the opening of The Love Church in 2011, one ideal has remained constant...We Give. From grocery giveaways, to gas and car giveaways, our Pastor's heart has always been connected to the community. Believing in the message of John 3:16, The Love Church always strives to create new and innovative ways to give back to our community, but none of it is possible without your giving.
